The Mayan Exodus

The Maya were a thriving civilization, so why did they fall apart? Judging by the clues, I have inferred that the end of the Maya came about when they had an exodus from their towns and cities, traveling along underwater rivers by boat. My main proof is an altar discovered by archaeologists dated in A.D. 822. However, one side of this altar was left unfinished. This shows how craftsmen had to leave their work to assist in the creation of massive boats used to leave their dying cities. I believe that the idea of an exodus came about when the Maya couldn't cultivate their land (due to overfarming), and they decided that they needed a healthier area to plant maize. Only the healthy and fit went on this journey. The old or the physically weak members of society were left behind, left to die of starvation or malnutrition, explaining the skulls found that showed signs of death by anemia. These remaining people slowly died out, letting their farm fields slowly change back into jungle. Sadly, only a small remaining group of Maya descendants still lived on, but the main civilization crumbled, unable to hold itself together.

Artifacts from the Moche, Sican, Chimu, and Inca

In my travels through a Moche city, I have discovered how much their culture focuses on things such as hunting, war, sacrifice, loving encounters, and ceremonies. This is reflected in their art. I visited a merchant in the market when he was making his pottery. The red hue of the clay is astounding. Here are some ceramic pieces I have seen.

Next I visited a city of the Sican people. My guide described how Sican art
is mostly made out of metal. Many of the pieces made here feature have grotesque faces. If I were to live in this city, I would choose to be a metalsmith. It looks like the most lucrative job here.

The third city I came to a Chimu village. I found a man hard at work creating traditional Chimu pottery which
has a distinctive black color. I purchased these two pieces, the discussed with him the importance of art in his life. The ceramics he creates are used for ceremonies and burials.

My fourth and final destination was the Incan city of Cuzco.
The richest city so far, metallurgy plays a big role in many artisan's lives. I found many vendors at the market selling cheap duplicates of these gold creations:

Vice Presidential Debates

Sarah Palin is OH SO wrong. She makes wild accusations about Barack Obama when she supports oil from the bottom of her heart. Wow. I don't know about you, but does she sound like a person you can trust? She's a hypocrite. And oh my goodness what about Joe Biden?! You can see through that evil grin like a window. He is clearly trying to find a loophole through the answer. UN UH. Not someone I would vote for. I am clearly the right candidate I know every practical way to resolve every problem. I have the best economic plan EVER!
And guess what guys! Does Joe Biden seem like the type of man who would know what people would talk about at the kitchen table? He lives in a mansion, for goodness sake how could he know that?! And what about Sarah Palin. She and McCain are clearly, CLEARLY only republican, now they're saying that they're democratic too? Before long they're going to tell the American public that they're secretly Elvis impersonators on the side. If you vote for me, I will tell you the truth about myself and not try to be who I'm not.
The war in Iraq. For one thing, I don't believe EITHER of them set a definite date for withdrawal of our troops. I know that I have a clear date and that's now. I would take our troops out this very minute if I could. We have caused enough trouble and suffering for the Iraqi people already-- we need to get the heck out of there so they can rebuild their country IN PEACE!

John McCain and Barack Obama are Wrong!

So you're thinking of voting for John McCain or Barack Obama! Wow. Do they have an economic plan as well planned as mine? NO! Just listen to this here quote by Barack Obama: “[We can't plan for] banks that [don't] help homeowners stay in their homes and help distressed communities...” Well HA! He's wrong. If everyone had their own bank, would we have to worry about these issues? NO! And just listen to this one from John McCain! “There will be constant access to the books and accounts of our banks and other financial institutions" This is obviously a bad idea. Who wants other people to be able to have access to your personal bank account? NOT me.

My Economic Plan

I am here to fix up the Economy. I know that people buy houses with money they have been lent. Well, if I'm elected, I will get rid of banks! I think that every household should have their own personal bank. The people who have inherited money have to spread the money out thin to people in need.
Everyone starts with a house given away by the government. The government can pay farmers to provide food for needy families. Those families have a job at the farm.
