Artifacts from the Moche, Sican, Chimu, and Inca

In my travels through a Moche city, I have discovered how much their culture focuses on things such as hunting, war, sacrifice, loving encounters, and ceremonies. This is reflected in their art. I visited a merchant in the market when he was making his pottery. The red hue of the clay is astounding. Here are some ceramic pieces I have seen.

Next I visited a city of the Sican people. My guide described how Sican art
is mostly made out of metal. Many of the pieces made here feature have grotesque faces. If I were to live in this city, I would choose to be a metalsmith. It looks like the most lucrative job here.

The third city I came to a Chimu village. I found a man hard at work creating traditional Chimu pottery which
has a distinctive black color. I purchased these two pieces, the discussed with him the importance of art in his life. The ceramics he creates are used for ceremonies and burials.

My fourth and final destination was the Incan city of Cuzco.
The richest city so far, metallurgy plays a big role in many artisan's lives. I found many vendors at the market selling cheap duplicates of these gold creations:
